The design of the WEA for Liner Hanger minimizes subcomponents, ensuring reliability and efficiency while simplifying well construction. The WEA enables reciprocation, circulation, and/or rotation during deployment.
The Welltec Expandable Anchor (WEA) for Liner Hanger is run in combination with our proven metal expandable packer technology/hydraulic expansion sleeve.
Combinable technology
When a WEA is combined with a Welltec® Flow Valve (WFV™) and any one of our metal expandable packers, a full Welltec lower completion system offers a versatile and robust solution for the most challenging environments, including high-pressure applications. This full system approach can be incorporated into any downhole environment, whether set in open or cased hole, and is qualified to V0 or V3 sealing.
By utilizing these technologies, operators can achieve enhanced annular well integrity during construction, effective zonal isolation, superior flow control, and improve the net present value (NPV) of their assets.
