The position

As a Workshop Maintenance Electrician, you will be part of a well-functioning team who support our ongoing operations. We are looking for strong candidates with an Electrical maintenance background. Experience in a similar role within the oil and gas industry would be advantageous, however, not essential.

Key responsibilities

Have a high focus on safety and professionalism, working in accordance with Welltec procedures and HSE regulations at all times.
General maintenance of Welltec interventions equipment including redressing, repairing, and preparing equipment
Preparing ATEX equipment for inspection and testing prior to operations
Pre-mobilization testing of electronics as per Welltec procedures and instructions.
Being proficient in the use of electrical multi-meters and other basic instruments
Identify and communicate technical problems and perform complex tasks with minimal instruction.
Maintain records and write reports as required by company procedures.
Participate actively in quality improvement efforts associated with Welltec tools and equipment.
Have a flexible approach to working overtime at short notice.
Final preparation, assembly, and mobilization of equipment to offshore locations.
Packing and shipping equipment for dispatch to other Welltec locations.

The candidate

The preferred candidate will have experience in an Electrical maintenance environment, experience in a similar role in the oil and gas industry is preferred. Familiarity with mechanical and hydraulic systems would be an advantage as well as a background working with downhole tools, but this is not essential. They will be highly motivated and forward-thinking individuals who are willing to work under pressure and in varied conditions. Will also have the following:

Certified Electrician
Proven proficiency in Microsoft packages such as Word and Excel
Hold a current driving license
ATEX certified preferred however training can be provided for the right candidate
Have the right to work in the Norway
Positive, talented individuals with an interest and curiosity for hands-on experience in the maintenance of cutting-edge downhole robotic technology
A creative outlook with the ability to work independently and in a team
