Welltec North America Caribbean (NAM) region is actively looking for a Welding Hub Manager. The position will be based in Katy, Texas (Houston area), which is the regional HQ. As the Welding Hub Manager, you will be overseeing, planning, and managing the production of Well Completion Solutions (WCS) in the NAM region. The NAM region is a vast geographical region that currently covers the United States, Canada, Trinidad & Tobago, and the newest addition, Guyana.

The position 

The Welding Hub Manager will be part of the global manufacturing team, reporting to the NAM Leadership team and the Head of Manufacturing. 

The Welding Hub Manager will be accountable and responsible for:

  • Results of the WCS manufacturing department.
  • The safety and health of the workers and the work environment at the site’s facilities in the North America and Caribbean region.
  • The quality and delivery of products.
  • Adequate utilization of the department’s budget.

Key responsibilities

As a Business Development Manager, you will be expected to:

  • Managing a small welding team.
  • Overseeing, planning, and managing manufacturing and production of WCS products. This includes leading, prioritizing, and planning the work of various manufacturing employees and team leaders, as well as monitoring, directing, and planning production activities to meet specifications, schedules, volume/cost/wastage targets, quality standards, and to manage downtime and minimize disruptions.
  • Liaising with organizational stakeholders to ensure alignment between WCS production and the organization’s goals and strategies, developing production schedules, and allocating resources.
  • Participating in emergency responses (e.g., fire drills) and addressing employee Environmental, Health, and Safety concerns.
  • Overseeing all aspects of the Houston facility’s functionality, ensuring its safety, cleanliness, and maintenance by managing routine repairs and coordinating with contractors.
  • Approximate required travel will be around 15% - 30%.


The candidate

The preferred candidate has the following profile:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in manufacturing preferred (knowledge about high-end welding techniques is optional but could be beneficial).
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills to effectively manage the Welding team and interact with employees and managers at all levels.
  • Strong analytical, influencing, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to clearly articulate goals and objectives both verbally and in writing.
  • Excellent presentation skills.
  • Efficient time management, organization, and planning skills.
  • Willingness to travel to various company locations as needed.
  • Must understand and comply with all company policies of Welltec.
  • Advocate of the Company Values and Code of Conduct, taking personal responsibility for the same and cascading them down to their team and further into their organizations.
