The department

You will join our D&E department consisting of more than 30 mechanical/electronic/firmware engineers and designers from multiple countries forming a truly global team which is closely connected. The hierarchy is flat and humor and high engagement is part of the daily life.

Ultimately, the D&E team is responsible for the development and maintenance of Welltec’s proprietary well intervention technologies ranging from our Well Tractor with more than 20 years of service time to new and innovative technologies which we constantly introduce to the market through our global footprint.

The position

As Technical designer Apprentice, you will be involved in both overall and detailed engineering design, drawings and various tasks in our ERP system.
Additionally, you will receive training in our various programs/software and hence good variation in tasks can be expected.

We expect you to be structured, methodical and you must thrive in a fast-paced environment with many projects and tasks going on simultaneously.
It is important that you can take ownership of tasks and that you have a high sense of urgency.

Furthermore, you will be paired up with one of our Senior Technical Designers who will act as a mentor and sparring partner. This is a unique way of gaining insight into Welltec’s core technological development projects.

Your key responsibilities will include:
• Support engineers from 3D design to 2D manufacturing
• Produce general assembly drawings
• Produce manufacturing drawings (Catia)
• Maintain drawings
• Maintain ERP system (Dynamics Navision)
• Solving ad-hoc challenges
• Ensure high quality
• Solid English skills (written and oral)

The candidate

We are looking for a motivated and curious candidate who is eager to start a career as a Technical Designer.

You have completed, or are about to complete, a relevant education such as HTX, EUX, or similar, where you have gained a basic understanding of technical subjects and design principles. Experience with CAD tools (e.g. Catia or similar) is an advantage, but not a requirement.

You have a strong interest in technology and mechanical design, and you enjoy working with technical drawings and details.
