As Legal Counsel you will become part of the legal team globally supporting the different units within development, manufacturing and delivery of services and products.

As Legal Counsel you will get a broad global contact surface and many stakeholders. You will work as the day-to-day legal adviser and in this work closely together with the business – global teams including sales, supply chain, Finance, HR, Tax and other specialist functions as well as external advisors on occasion. 

Together with the department’s other Legal Counsel referring to VP Legal & Company Secretary you will be responsible for legal risk management and legal advisory across regions where Welltec operates, including Europe, Asia and Pacific, Middle East, Central East Europe, Africa, North and South America.

 

The position 

You will be responsible for:

  • Structuring, drafting and/or approving international commercial contracts and procurement contracts
  • Legal Compliance - Act as a point of contact for regulatory and compliance matters and where required, work with external counsel while ensuring quality as well as work across functions to implement various compliance initiatives
  • Occasional legal assistance with M&A activities
  • Collaborate with stakeholders and the Legal Team to manage corporate legal matters such as inter-company structures and support the establishment and maintenance of legal entities globally including drafting of corporate documents, coordinating with external legal advisors, and supporting our commercial management teams abroad within corporate legal matters
  • Assist Legal Operations efforts to further increase efficiency and scalability of the Legal function, including identifying trends, maintaining the Legal Department’s systems and standard documents
  • Create and conduct legal training to relevant employees (in person, webinars), mapping of best practices and training of the business in this, including terms etc. on commercial contracts
  • Provide support to the business on other legal matters on an as-needed basis

 

The candidate

The ideal candidate has worked a minimum of 2-3 years as a lawyer in a law firm or in a similar position within an international company and enjoys working independently and directly with the business in a dynamic environment.

Professional qualifications:

  • M.Sc. in Business Administration and Law/Master of Laws
  • Experience with structuring, drafting and/or approving international commercial contracts and procurement contracts
  • Experience working with multiple jurisdictions, including outside of primary legal education
  • Strong stakeholder management skills
  • Some understanding of IP regulation
  • Experience working in an international environment
  • Has a commercial approach to finding legal solutions
  • Fluent in written and spoken English (company language)
