The position

As a Maintenance Technician, you will be part of a small, well-functioning team who support our ongoing operations. The position offers challenges in a busy environment and is based onshore in Aberdeen. Some travel may be required for training and supporting operational requirements.

We are looking for strong candidates with a mechanical or hydraulic background. Experience in a similar role within the oil and gas industry would be advantageous.

Responsibilities

Have a high focus on safety and work in accordance with HSE regulations at all times.
General maintenance of Welltec tools including redressing, electrical checks, fault finding, repairing, and modifying non-conforming equipment.
Ability to identify and communicate technical problems and perform complex tests with minimal instruction.
Maintain records and communications as required by Company procedures.
Participate actively in quality improvement efforts associated with Welltec Tools.
Drive forklift (training will be given if required).
Be part of an on-call system and have a flexible approach to working overtime at short notice.
Assembly and mobilization of equipment.
Conduct all activities in accordance with the Integrated Management System Policy, Procedures and Work Instructions.

The candidate

Competent with mechanical and hydraulic systems - Able to assemble, test, and maintain hydraulic systems components according to engineering instructions, technical manuals.
Competent with electrical testing equipment and the ability to understand electrical wiring diagrams.
Highly motivated individual who is willing to work under pressure and in varying conditions.
Proficiency in Microsoft packages.
Hold a current driving license.
Have the right to work in the UK.
Positive and creative appearance with the ability to work independently and in a team.
Must have strong communication skills, capable of liaising with different departments within Welltec.
Must be willing to work overtime as and when required, particularly during busy periods, to support business needs.
