The Casing Collar Locators (CCL’s) are among the simplest and most essential tools in cased hole e-line operations.
CCL’s are typically used for depth correlation and can be an indicator of line over speed when logging in heavy fluids. The Welltec CCL has been engineered to survive the most severe shock conditions and temperatures.
Casing Collar Locators (CCLs) provide a rugged, reliable method for depth correlation of any toolstring.
As the tool passes a collar or changes in metal volume, the magnetic flux between two separate permanent magnets within the tool senses a change which is captured. This allows detection of casing collars, hardware and even perforations downhole.
