New Manufacturing & Maintenance Center in Saudi Arabia

Building on our long-term commitment to the Oil & Gas industry in Saudi Arabia, the Welltec team recently completed construction of brand-new Manufacturing & Maintenance Center located in Al-Khobar. Operations are already being supported from the new facility and the official inauguration and opening scheduled for the 24th June. The new facility will act as a Middle East Hub and will be a major regional resource dedicated to maintenance, servicing, and manufacturing of oil and gas technologies for the entire region.

The facility is the 4th largest in the Welltec network with 1,500 sqm of dedicated office space and more than 3,000 sqm designated for workshop activities and forms part of a revived business model geared towards enhanced service delivery. The construction was completed during spring 2019 and is located in the Al-Khobar, Ibn Sina Dist Eastern Province. It is in full alignment with the Kingdom’s Vision 2030 & IKTVA plans and will employ more than 50 Saudi nationals. Specialized Saudi engineers and technicians are already performing work that is critical to maintaining Saudi Arabia’s position as one of the world’s leading supplier of energy.

The new facility is setup with all the required equipment for local manufacturing of completions products such as our Welltec® Annular Barrier (WAB®) and Welltec® Flow Valve (WFV™) and service engineers, now be based at this location, will be able to perform all necessary tasks to move products and equipment throughout the complete job cycle.
