The Welltec Downhole Isolation portfolio introduces a range of medium- and high-expansion retrievable bridge plugs designed to streamline reservoir isolation across diagnostics, intervention, and pre-P&A operations. This presentation explores the latest product developments, qualification results, and technologies that deliver secure, verifiable isolation in complex well conditions.
Density Activated Recovery (DAR) technology autonomously uses density contrast to control water and/or gas production in light oil environments without imposing a high pressure drop across the lower completion, enabling accelerated oil production and increased recovery while keeping unwanted fluids at manageable levels. The presentation highlights key differentiators from conventional inflow control technologies and details the first deployment in the Johan Castberg field in April 2026.
Conventional retrieval methods are often challenged by debris, complex well geometry, and restricted access. Through selected field applications, this presentation demonstrates how advanced tool design, adaptive deployment techniques, and operational methodologies improve recovery success rates, reduce intervention time, and enable access to previously unreachable targets.
Conventional tubing repair methods often require costly workovers or compromise future well access. Through selected field applications, this presentation demonstrates how Welltec Springblade Patch technology restores tubing integrity with minimal impact on inner diameter, enabling rapid e-line deployment, patch-thru-patch capability, and continued access for future interventions.
