Maintenance Electrician

Welltec Norway is looking for strong candidates with an Electrical background. Experience in a similar role within the oil and gas industry would be advantageous however, not essential. Workplace will be the base in Bergen-Norway.

As an Electrical Maintenance Technician in Welltec, your tasks will include but are not limited to:

• Have a high focus on safety and professionalism, working in accordance with Welltec procedures and HSE regulations at all times.
• General maintenance of Welltec interventions equipment including redressing, repairing, and preparing equipment
• Preparing ATEX equipment for inspection and testing prior to operations
• Pre-mobilization testing of electronics as per Welltec procedures and instructions
• Being proficient in the use of electrical multi-meters and other basic instruments
• Identify and communicate technical problems and perform complex tasks with minimal instruction
• Maintain records and write reports as required by company procedures
• Participate actively in quality improvement efforts associated with Welltec tools and equipment
• Be part of an on-call rota system and have a flexible approach to working overtime at short notice.
• Final preparation, assembly, and mobilization of equipment to offshore locations.

The preferred candidate will have experience in an Electrical or Electronic maintenance environment. The candidate will be a highly motivated and forward-thinking individual who is willing to work under pressure and in varying conditions. 

The candidate will also have the following:

• Experience in Microsoft packages such as Word and Excel
• Hold a current driving license
• L-Certified (Norwegian requirement)
• Knowledge with equipment for hazard areas is preferred, however training will be provided
• Positive, talented individual with an interest and curiosity for hands on experience in the maintenance of cutting-edge downhole robotic technology
• A creative outlook with the ability to work independently and in a team.
